Community Calls & Events
Calls and events are where the network synchronises, unblocks squads, and celebrates proof-of-work. Attendance and facilitation both feed participation metrics and recognition reviews.
Call formats
- Weekly sync — 30-minute rotation covering programme status, blockers, and upcoming scopes. Hosts publish agenda 24 hours in advance.
- Demo day — contributors showcase shipped artefacts, capture feedback, and request partnerships.
- Deep dive — longer-form sessions to debug architecture, product decisions, or governance proposals.
Documentation
- Hosts record calls and drop timestamps plus key decisions in the forum thread within 12 hours.
- Presenters link decks, repos, or dashboards in the same thread for async viewing.
Event types
- Hack rooms — concentrated build days focused on validator tooling, integrations, or growth experiments.
- Workshops — skill-share sessions led by operators; attendees log learnings or follow-up tasks.
- Ecosystem tours — IRL meetups with partners, investors, or new contributors.
Participation credit
- Check-ins use the calendar RSVP list or onchain attendance tokens.
- Speakers, organisers, and mentors receive additional credit when they publish recaps or tutorials.
Hosting playbook
- Submit an event proposal outlining goal, expected outputs, budget, and logistics.
- Coordinate with ops for venue, recording, and equipment needs.
- Collect feedback and publish a retro with attendee stats, artefacts, and next actions.
Etiquette
- Join on time, keep updates tight, and clearly label asks or blockers.
- Mutually respect time zones—async notes are mandatory if you cannot attend live.
- Follow up by sharing artefacts; unshared work does not count toward participation metrics.
